Three Things That Are Keeping Us From Growing

Most businesses depend on sales, profits, and/or revenue to be successful. In many situations, however, we may be keeping our businesses from thriving. It may not be deliberate, but it may still be happening.

Here are 3 things that may be keeping your business from growing:

  1. Procrastination. You know there are activities and actions you need to implement, but you keep putting them off. Don’t let fear or frustration keep you from planning and executing.
  2. Lack of Follow Through. You have ideas but you don’t follow them up with actual process steps or milestones. There are lot’s of projects and programs, but it seems that very few are completed. Instead of continuing to come up with new programs and ideas, work on completing actions and milestones along with setting completion dates for existing projects and programs. It’s exciting to have new ideas and to get a fresh start, but if we do not follow through on our existing (And new) ideas we will not get much accomplished.
  3. Confidence. The dictionary defines confidence as, “A feeling of self-assurance arising from one’s appreciation of one’s own abilities or qualities” (Google Dictionary). Knowledge, familiarity, and repetition help to improve confidence. Education, training and ongoing development will also build confidence.

Don’t let the three items listed above hold your business hostage. Let’s work on eliminating the obstacles to growth by putting our businesses and ourselves in position to be successful.
